Airtech & Grand Homes Team Up for IAQ Solution
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 31, 2001--Airtech International
Group, Inc. (OTCBB:AIRG - news) announced today the Company received an
endorsement from Dallas, TX based Grand Texas Homes Inc., (Grand Homes) to
recommend the installation of the Airtech Titan III on all new home
construction. This is the first major custom Home Builder to place the Airtech
Indoor Air Quality Product line into all their new properties.
Grand Homes, Ron Birdsong, Director of Purchasing for Grand Homes stated
that, ``We are pleased to provide the new Airtech in duct (Titan III) PCO
technology to all our new home buyers. Grand Homes always wants to be the leader
and innovator offering new products to their customers. With the increasing
problem and awareness of indoor pol
ution the Airtech technology is a welcome
addition to our product line, particularly in regard to the mold issue. Grand
Homes is pleased about the new relationship and will be aggressively marketing
the Airtech product line as early as next week. A major regional staff meeting
is scheduled with emphasis on this technology and a national marketing plan.''
Airtech National Account Representative Darrell Moore said, ``I will be
working with Grand Homes sales staff and mechanical contractor handling
installations. Introduction of the Titan III will be a smooth transition. This
is the first major Home Builder that has stepped out from behind the curtain and
become pro active about the sick home syndrome and the attributes leading to
Black Mold and respiratory infections.'' Moore added, ``I hope they hit a home
run and cause a stampede in the homebuilding industry. God knows they could all
use us.''
Airtech's revolutionary breakthrough in technology, of the Titan-III in-line,
ducted, single-phase filtration system, incorporates leading-edge photocatalysis
and high-efficiency particulate filtration, that converts most volatile organic
compounds (VOCs) to carbon dioxide and water vapor, while capturing and
destroying 99.3% of biological contaminants in a single pass. The Titan-III is
designed to be incorporated in new or existing construction and renovation to
provide occupants protection against indoor air pollutants, i.e. molds, spores,
bacteria, viruses, pollen, formaldehyde, combustion by-products, odors, and many
toxic gases. The uniqueness of this product lies in its ability to sterilize and
eliminate pollutants as opposed to merely filtering or collecting them, all
within the capacity of existing blowers and HVAC equipment. No additional
blowers or high-pressure filters are required yielding significant air quality
enhancement without reengineering, thereby saving money and time.
Photocatalysis (PCO) technology has been developed and tested by the EPA,
Sandia National Laboratories, U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of
Energy, and National Renewable Energy Laboratories (NREL) as being capable of
completely destroying volatile organic compounds in deadly air and ground water
effluent containing carcinogenic compounds. Airtech has applied this technology
in a revolutionary way, making it available to schools, medical facilities,
commercial and residential markets for protection of faculty, students,
patients, workers and families. Photocatalysis works by the natural effect of UV
light on titanium dioxide to neutralize odors and gases, while attacking the RNA
and DNA of most airborne viruses, bacteria and fungi.
